Kelli Kauinui

Kelli was raised on the Big Island living in Keaau then Waiakea.  A graduate of Waiakea High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Kelli relocated to the East Coast to work on Capitol Hill.  She resides in Alexandria, Virginia and goes home to Hilo and Honolulu as much as possible to catch up with family and friends. Lei making is a hobby Kelli has always enjoyed. Coming from a family of two lei makers she started learning the craft at an early age. Her father would collect maile from the Pana’ewa forest preparing the maile vines for lei making with her Mom.  Lei making was a family business, as children Kelli and her sister would help from time to time to clean the maile leaves before storing. Even as a child Kelli could not resist the beauty of flowers, collecting them wherever she found them, Grandma’s backyard (with permission, of course) or canvassing the neighborhood, always enjoying the plants and looking for blossoms or leaves to create a beautiful lei.

A fan of Abraham Hicks' Law of Attraction and Jim Rohn's, America’s foremost business philosopher, one of Kelli's favorite Jim Rohn quote is, "One person caring about another person represents life's greatest value".
